Occasionally I’ll strap on my stunt-double helmet when the talent doesn’t want frozen Ben & Jerry’s falling on her head.

I started out in the academic world, but it seemed more fun to just make stuff up. So I switched to copywriting and have been here ever since.

But my writing journey really began back in 3rd grade, when our class wrote a book of short stories—mine in size-8 font to fit on the page. Mistaking the inability to edit for proof of undeniable talent, I rode Little Witches’ wave of success (arguably a direct knockoff of the first Harry Potter book) all the way to a career.

I’ve since learned the art of brevity.
